Sue Sweeney-Janes
I live in a small Newfoundland community with my husband, daughter and three horses at Countrytime Equine Stable. Countrytime Equine hosts various EHC equine first aid & horsemanship clinics, lessons & functions. My past education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree, Animal Sciences Diploma, Paramedic Diploma, Equi-Health Canada Certification as Emergency First Aid Instructor and Instructor Trainer. I am an active member of the Newfoundland Equestrian Association and American Quarter Horse Association. Competed in fun Shows in the past with my daughter who is currently actively competing and achieving Equine Canada Rider levels.
I have achieved being the first certified Advanced Emergency Equine First Aid Instructor (EFAI) with Equi-Health Canada and Equi-First Aid USA in Newfoundland, as well as, the first Licensed Affiliate Instructor Trainer for Atlantic Canada. I am an Instructor for Canine Emergency First Aid, as well as, Instructor of Canadian Red Cross First Aid CPR & AED Trainer.
I believe veterinary care may take extended wait times in many small communities throughout Atlantic Canada. I strive to educate owners to feel perfectly content and confident to handle most emergency situations with their horse. They will be prepared to answer any professional questions or concerns and easily follow any instruction over the phone awaiting pre-arrival professional care.
I have great love for all animals with a special spot in my heart for horses.
